Well I have had so many request from people asking for help to train their dogs and as I just dont have the man hours free in my week, I agreed to set up some work via the blog of what I do with my dogs. The main dogs I will be working with on the Blog are Bug ( obviously) and Jess ( the rat) as the foundation work that goes into them is really what set my dogs up for the rest of their lives.
I have found this particularly handy whenI have my months of procrastination and all of a sudden find myself standing at a start line when none of my dogs have been trained for weeks ( or months in Mav's case). I know there are all these die hards that train 4 times a week and cant wait to get to a trial, but seriously , 20 years down the track, you get a bit slack.
But as slack as you are and want to be - its all good - cos my foundation work really pulls me out of a heap- a lot.
So - ready for the big change (that would be me updating my Blog)? Ill try ( repeat try) for weekly updates and I have been having a blast with Pinwheels in the past few weeks. So much you can do on a pin wheel. Now of course, when I am ready to train, the rain is here and the floods have arrived. Oh well, Ill be at a start line soon - yet again - with an untrained dog - that no doubt will pull something out of a hat - yet again.
Today she has taught me .................to never put off till tomorrow - what you really should be doing today.
